Student Waxing in Royal Oak & Utica, MI

Waxing is precision work, and our esthetics students are graded on temperature control, strip direction, tension and the speed of the pull. That scrutiny is why guests often describe a student wax as cleaner and less painful than the rushed version they are used to.
We wax nine areas: individual facial areas such as brows, lip or chin at $15 each, a Full Face at $40, Underarm at $30, Half Leg at $30, Full Leg at $45, Arm at $30, Back at $50, Bikini at $35 and Brazilian at $50. Hard wax is used on the face and intimate areas where the skin is thinner; soft strip wax covers larger body areas efficiently.
Your student patch-tests wax temperature on your inner forearm before the first strip, preps the skin with a cleanser and barrier oil, and finishes with an azulene or aloe soothing product. An instructor is on the floor throughout, and every service takes place in a private treatment room.

Before & after care
- Let hair grow to about a quarter inch — roughly two weeks of growth
- Tell your student if you use retinoids, Accutane or acne medication; waxing may be unsafe
- Avoid caffeine before intimate waxing to reduce sensitivity
- No hot tubs, saunas, sun or the gym for 24 hours after your appointment
- Exfoliate gently starting 48 hours later to keep ingrowns down
