Student Manicures & Pedicures in Royal Oak & Utica, MI
Performed by supervised cosmetology students under licensed instructor supervision at our Royal Oak and Utica campuses.
Nail services on the clinic floor are as much about nail health as they are about polish. Your student assesses the nail plate and surrounding skin, notes any ridging, lifting or infection signs that need a physician rather than a salon, and shapes with a file rather than aggressive drilling.
A Manicure covers soak, shaping, cuticle care, a hand and forearm massage and polish. A Pedicure adds a warm soak, callus smoothing, nail and cuticle work on the toes, and a lower-leg and foot massage. A Gel Polish Upgrade can be added to either for chip-resistant color that lasts about two weeks.
Sanitation is a graded part of every nail service here. Implements are cleaned and disinfected between guests according to state board standards, files and buffers are single-use or guest-assigned, and the instructor inspects the station before your service begins.

- Apply cuticle oil nightly to keep the manicure looking fresh longer
- Never peel gel off — book a proper removal to protect the nail plate
